Fall Wednesday Night Study: “James: Mercy Triumphs”

Wednesday Evenings at 7:00pm

Dave and Sue Herriman will deliver this Beth Moore series.

The series will run from Sept 6th to Oct 25th on Wednesday nights — 6:30 fellowship, 7:00 start — with an hour video then 20-30 minutes of discussion. Companion workbooks can be ordered for $16 before the study begins: contact Dave or Sue.

LifeWay’s Description:

“James, Jesus’ own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Bible scholars compare James to the prophet Amos. In other ways, James more closely resembles the Book of Proverbs than any other New Testament book. Topics in this study include: joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer.”

Women’s Bible Study : “A Woman’s Heart, God’s Dwelling Place”

This is a Beth Moore study exploring the depth behind the purpose of the tabernacle in every aspect.  We have four new leaders facilitating our study: Ruth Ann Frances, Anita Weaver, Linda Grimmet and Sheryl Whitaker!  Come join us on Wednesday mornings! For more information, contact Terry Putthoff via

Volunteers Needed

Volunteering is a blessing on its own! Many people pitch in to help with church activities occur because they’re so grateful for the love of God and the sacrifice Jesus made for them on the cross. Open Range periodically needs help in a few areas, and while some tasks may seem unfamiliar, with your willing heart we can train you in whichever area you feel led to support!

Currently ORF needs people in the following areas:

  • TechTeam (helping to show prepared PowerPoint files during the services).
  • Kids’ Church (assist current leaders who show and teach Bible lessons).
  • Greeters (meet people coming in before Saturday and Sunday services).

Let’s Pray

First Tuesday of the month, 7:00pm.

B&W_cowboy praying_verticalJoin us as we gather to pray for God’s intercession in the church, for our leaders and for our nation.

Our schedules are already filled with activities and it’s hard to find space for another. But it’s helpful to note that all that busy-ness in our own strength cannot compare to the advantage God’s help can provide through prayer.

And don’t worry about not knowing what to pray for or which words to use. The Holy Spirit moves each of us in our own way.

Faith KeepHers

Meetings on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays each month, running from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm.
