Pastor Dave Putthoff takes us through an example of leadership in the early church. It was a model which collected and made use of regular people, their unique and individual gifts, employed in combination toward the overall building of the Kingdom.Joel Osborn then presented an examination of communion, noting the incredible significance of the elements contained within our ceremony.
Pastor Tony Nunn gives us a picture of the early church, where Jesus' followers began to learn how to honor Him and God through ceremony. Animal blood was the only acceptable way to forgive our sins. So Jesus' blood and body became the lamb, sacrificed for our sins.
Pastor Joe 'Top Hat' White reminds us that God will always bring us through adversity! The Apostle Paul never stopped sharing the gospel while dealing with all kinds of hardship. We will suffer trials as well and we will be persecuted. Give your troubles up to God and your endurance will grow stronger!
Pastor Tony Nunn reminds us that effective giving has little to do with the actual amount of time, talent, or treasure donated on the outside. What comes from the inside actually has more impact. God loves a cheerful giver - so give with a happy heart! Our heart is the biggest gift we can give.
Pastor Joe White helps steer us through a common theme in the Bible: Love! Agape-type love is unconditional and comes from God. But as believers we must help others see the God-love in us. That by itself can move people around us to begin making a connection to God through Jesus!
