Guest presenter Tim Hoover gave us an examination of some biblical histories surrounding kings who ruled poorly, too far removed from God's plans. Then Tim reported how he and Gerilynn and Linda Grimmett participated at the DC March back in September, where the crowd of 100,000 was encouraged to earnestly pray for the nation. Vice President Pence attended and prayed with the crowd, using 2 Chronicles 7:14. Tim's message showed unfortunate cultural disobedience in both time periods.

Pastor Joe 'Top Hat' White gives us several stark reminders surrounding the preaching in some of today's churches. You can't rewrite the word of God to fit the ideology of the world! Man's tangible sin cannot be sidestepped by diplomatic negotiation — Christ really did die in order to wipe away that sin. Repentance isn't popular, can't be ignored, and isn't easy to do — but pretending it isn't required prevents and interferes with a person's salvation.

Pastor Joe 'Top Hat' White reminds us that in our rush to do lots of "good work", we can get overwhelmed while trying to cover too many bases. Too much "busy-ness" should NOT interfere with our personal connection to the Father. Realize that our schedule of to-do items probably doesn't match the schedule God has for us! Through prayer, communion, and study of the Word, God's plan will become known to us, and that work will be fruitful.

On this 10th anniversary weekend, Pastor Frank reminds us that the core of Open Range contains a "movement" church! Sitting around and waiting for the lost to come to us isn't an option now, nor in the early stages of ORF. We wanted to go where the Holy Spirit was sending us!

A traveling troupe of worshipers took the gospel out to rural areas, and only after that a centralized "church" was born. Frank also presents a separate video with recollections of a few people who experienced the early formation….

Both good and bad things happen: if we never suffered here on Earth we'd never look towards God, and Heaven's perfection later – that's the hope of glory!

Pastors by themselves aren't solely responsible for "making church happen!" Try passing your knowledge of the Lord from house to house, outside of the typical Sunday-only ritual. Plant the seed and God will cause the growth.
